FK Action Project for Intro to Coding "Get Shredded"

This is my action project for Intro to Coding. For this project I coded a macronutrient calculator and a random list of questions about the user, then used that info to insult the user. As you can see I am a man of humor.  When making my code I did encounter some coding bugs. I had to adapt to the weird language that is python. I also wanted to add in “if questions” but apparently that’s “next unit” - Adam.

FK Action Project for Design & Engineering " Project Garret"

We just wrapped up our first unit in Design & Engineering. This unit was about simple machines and the basis for almost every tool in the modern day. We also discussed the design process and how important empathy and understanding the audience that you're designing for. Empathy is understanding someone else's situation and/or emotions. It relates to this project because we need to understand what it is like to be an elderly gardener before we can help them. This project is asking me to work on a design with my partner that could assist an elderly gardener with simple gardening tasks that may be difficult with old age. The eldery user I had in mind well designsing my tool was a person with back pain or a person who wants to cut roots and also scooping soil. It is called project Garret.  To get a sense of empathy I interviewed a local gardener. During my interview the local gardener said "Due to my CRPS, bending and being on my knees is very difficult." So I made m...

FK Action Project for Art Of Rhetoric "Corruption, Theft, and Lies, Burke The Jerk Doesn't Care if You Loose Your House Or How You Get to Work"

Hello reader, this is my action project for Rhetoric unit#1 at GCE Lab school. The first unit of this course is called “Purpose”. The why. Why do we use rhetoric? To answer this question my class and I looked into rhetoric being used in the real world. The topic we chose to focus on was housing. We found ways of connecting something super important to rhetoric. We even scheduled a time to meet with an affordable housing developer to learn more about the nitty - gritty process. But now more into the nitty gritty of rhetoric itself. During this unit my classmates and I learned about methods of communication and how to apply the rhetorical situation. There's several parts but the main 3 are the speaker, purpose, and audience. We also learned about rhetorical appeals, those being ethos, logos and pathos. Ethos means a sense of authority (people in power, sources, etc). My appeal to ethos in my flier is somewhat artificial because I was gonna choose the alder of the ward I live in, bu...
