FK Show of Hands Civic Term 12/17/20 Action Project Final Puppet Show

This puppet show was my Action Project for Show of Hands civic term 2020. The message of my show is to teach people about water conservation well still being humorous. I drew inspiration from the show Parks and Recreation. I chose sock puppets for this project because they were simple and best conveyed the characters I was imitating. I found writing this show quite easy because I'm quite a fan of the show I'm imitating. However filming, set making, puppet building, and audio recording is a different story. Now enjoy the show!!

Hello reader, this is my unit to Action project for “ Food for thought”. food for thought is my third term, freshman year Humanities class at GCE lab school. We've done some pretty cool things in this class. In particular we went on some pretty awesome field experiences. Those consist of a trip to a place called plant Chicago where we're introduced to an aquaponics system. Also, we went to a place called Uncommon Ground which is a restaurant / rooftop garden where we interacted with many nutritious plants, and a really awesome radiant hydronic thermal solar system. For this project I was assigned to write an opinion paper on one of the subcategories of SDG 2 ( I chose 2.1 “ No Hunger”) And propose a solution to help the cause. FK Action Project for Urban Planning "How About ..... A Roundabout?"

 Hello reader, This is my action project for the "Urban Planning" unit 3 class at GCE Lab School. During this unit, I learned a lot about city infrastructure, the history of it, the math of it, and how it applies to almost everything. My classmates and I got to dive further into the topic of city infrastructure. My classmates and I got to talk with a real life city planner from houston. For this project, I chose an area of a city to redesign and build a model of said redesign. This is how it came out. Enjoy!  For my redesign I wanted to redesign an intersection that I use quite often. Its the 4 way residential/school zone intersection at Lemington and Quincy in Chicago, IL. To quote a fellow user of it they said "everyday being dropped off there is a battle" and I agree.
