This podcast is my Action project for who am I unit 1. For this project I was supposed to create a podcast on a belief of mine. I spoke on my morals, truth, and beliefs. and they all revolve around one thing, individualism. In the podcast my character's name is Brian but really Brian is me. Enjoy.
Who are you, never mind I don't care, who am I. Allow me to briefly introduce myself, you don't need to know my name but for now you may call me “Brian." During our brief time together You will hear of my beliefs, morals, and truths. Also during this time you will learn that Brian is not perfect, Brian makes many mistakes.
Part 1: Have you no, Morals: Overall Brian is a kind, giving, and loving being. Brian shows everyone respect until they prove to Brian they deserve otherwise. Brian also cares for their friends with their life. Brian values every relationship Brian has. Brian is very smart. Brian does quite well on tests. Brian loves numbers because there's no interpretation, there's right and there's wrong, there's black and there's white. This is the way Brian sees the world. This is Brian's moral compass. This is Brian's sense of right and wrong, Brian's sense of good and bad. Brian likes this because, Brian likes to be right, no no, Brian likes being TOLD their right. Brian likes hearing that “that's the right answer”. Brian especially loves when Brian is right and the majority is wrong. Brian believes Brian is special.
The truth hurts: Well Brian May Be kind, well Brian may be smart, well Brian may be giving and loving, it doesn't change that Brian is self-obsessed, arrogant, and egotistical. That is Brian's truth. “ truths to be discovered; that knowledge is possible. Moreover, he held that truth is not, as the Sophists thought, relative.” This is the belief of a philosopher known as Plato. Part of the quote that bothered Brian the most was “ moreover, he held that the truth is not as the sophists thought, relative”. This quote bothered Brian to furry because that means the truth can not be changed. This means that Brian's truth is he is arrogant, and narcissistic. Causing Brian to see them self in a bad light. Brian cannot change the truth nor manipulate the truth. All Brian can do is change what the future truth will be. The truth can go from Brian is an arrogant narcissist to Brian was an arrogant narcissist.
I'm not what you would call a believer: Brian believes in reality. And in reality Brian is a 14 year old boy From the United States. Brian politically identifies as a Libertarian. A Libertarian is a person who believes the government should not intervene in the free market or people's private lives. This was a political and core belief of Brian. There is yet another philosopher with a belief that contradicts Brian's. A man named Carl Jung.
Carl Jung is a man who believes in a thing called a collective unconscious. “ The collective unconscious was never conscious and therefore must have never been individually Acquired But owe their existence exclusively heredity.” This contradicts Brian's beliefs. Young is essentially saying that the knowledge we have as people is partially acquired due to the people around us and our ancestors. Brian believes in the individual. Brian also believes that everything he has learned from his family and Heritage was taught to him consciously not unconsciously or subconsciously. Brian believes that everything we know we learned from others we consciously chose to learn.
