FK Unit#2 Action Project for stories " The Tail of The Arrogant Lion " 10/18/21

    This is my unit#2 action project for stories. For this action project I was supposed to create a fable that has characters with anthropomorphic features and a strong,clear moral. I chose to make my characters lions because they represent the moral of my story. The moral of my fable is arrogance comes with consequences, and humility comes with rewards. I chose lions because I believe lions are the most arrogant animal. This is a fable about a lion named Brian who is very arrogant but also very insecure.  This is a fable version of a previous action project.   Enjoy!




The Tail of The Arrogant Lion




    Brian is a lion so arrogant he gets self conscious when he doesn’t receive validation from others. Brian likes hearing that “that's the right answer”. Brian loves when he is right and the other lions are wrong. He loves hearing the female lions complement Brian's beautiful fur, his strong claws, and loud, frightening roar. Brian believes he is special because he has been told this his whole life.

    But one day Rebecca, a female lion that Brain has had a crush on for years,insulted brain, “ your fur looks greasy today Brian” and all the other female lions walked away. Brian could feel his heart beating out of his chest. He said “ whatever I don’t care” but Brian did care. Brian went into school the next day with a smile because he had a test in lion school. Brian loves tests because school came easy to him and his parents,teachers,and classmates showed him praise for it. But because of his hurt feelings from the comment yesterday that he forgot to study. So he ended up failing the test. His parents were not mad at all and his grades did not drop at all because it was a simple quiz. But he was so angry with himself. He had a fake smile on his face at feeding time. The next day, Brian went to the river to hang out with is friends. They jump and play but Brian's friend Lucas decides to wrestle with Brian and Brian agrees. They wrestle for a bit,but Brain starts to lose. Out of rage Brian bites his friend. " dude what the heck" his friend yelled,as all of Brian's other friends ran away. Brian laid in the water in sorrow for what felt like hours and then ran home to his den and cried. Till he started scratching the walls, writing “ WHAT’S WRONG WITH ME”, but then he sit’s with those thoughts. And he starts writing down everything about himself

    Brian believes in reality. And in reality Brian is a 14 year old cub from the Sahara. A lion full of entitlement and arrogance. But deep down he was insecure, weak minded, and worst of all unhappy. That's Brian's truth. But Brian whats to change. The next day Brain went to Lucas den and apologizes profusely begging " Lucas I've been a horrible friend, please forgive me" " of course I forgive you moron" Lucas smirks , " why, why forgive me so easily?" Brian said with tears in his eyes. " Because apologizing shows me that you have changed your arrogant ways, now shut up and let's go play". They play for hours until Brian's mom calls him for dinner. Brian walks into school the next day, walks up to his teacher and asks " may I please retake the test" the teacher agrees. Brian get the test back with an A+ on the test. On Brian's way home he bumps into Rebecca, " hey, what you said to me the other day really hurt my feelings" he says " I know,and i'm really sorry about that, can i make it up to you with a dinner date?" She asked " uh yes sure" Brian stuttered well blushing. Brian is now a confident,humble,and happy lion. He changed his truth and roared it loudly.

Hello reader, this is my unit to Action project for “ Food for thought”. food for thought is my third term, freshman year Humanities class at GCE lab school. We've done some pretty cool things in this class. In particular we went on some pretty awesome field experiences. Those consist of a trip to a place called plant Chicago where we're introduced to an aquaponics system. Also, we went to a place called Uncommon Ground which is a restaurant / rooftop garden where we interacted with many nutritious plants, and a really awesome radiant hydronic thermal solar system. For this project I was assigned to write an opinion paper on one of the subcategories of SDG 2 ( I chose 2.1 “ No Hunger”) And propose a solution to help the cause. FK Action Project For A Nations Argument Unit#1 "One Should Know How To Sharpen Their Bows And String Their Swords"

Hello Reader, This is my action project for the first unit of "A Nation's Argument class", a humanities course in which we study how arguments are composed and their use throughout history, particularly in the establishment of nations. This unit's central question was "How is a country reasoned into existence?" In order to understand how an argument is constructed using premises and conclusions, we looked to the Declaration of Independence. On top of that, we discovered what deductive reasoning is and how it uses principles to support claims. We had the opportunity to speak with the principal of a Montessori school during our external research and learn more about the values that guide the teaching of children at his and other Montessori schools. For this AP I created my own declaration of independence to study physiology and why it is my right as a student do so. Enjoy!

FK Action Project For "Food Class" Unit 3 "GMO's"

  GMO’s. Ok ok, before you think I’m some hippie who’s here to tell you how awful GMO’s are I’m actually here to tell you the opposite and i believe they are totally fine. But first some background info. I am a student at GCE lab school, this is my action project for my 3rd term of food class. During this class we discussed a man named Norman Borlaug. Norman Borlaug was an american scientist who introduced new, disease-free wheat to India and solved hunger there. Thanks to Norman Borlaug Morocco has much better yields of wheat.  During this class we also discussed probability for a little bit, and connecting it to Punnett squares. We also discussed plant reproduction, such as the parts of male and female plants like the stigma, and the stamen. We also went on a field experience to a farmers market and discussed different types of foods with the farmers and  had interesting conversations with them.
