Coding Is A Slam Dunk

 This was my action project for Intro to Coding unit 3. For this unit we looked at how to code “if, elif, else” statements. For my project I created a simple code asking questions about basketball because it is an interest of mine. Enjoy! 



This project was overall very fun and relaxed. I learned how to use a fairly complex language in a fun way about a topic I like. I encountered a few bugs here and there but overall coding this project was smooth. It was a little hard to think of questions but I just acted as though I was talking to a friend about basketball.

  Hello reader, This is my action project for Food unit #1. For this assignment I was supposed to take 3 everyday containers and plant bean seeds. 1 of which was filled with “good soil” or soil from a store, as opposed to the other 2 which were filled with “ bad soil” or soil from my backyard ( I actually used soil from my garden). Once we have done this we were assigned to ask questions about what will happen. Then create a hypothesis ( what we think will happen). Now a little about the course. FK Action Project For A Nations Argument Unit#1 "One Should Know How To Sharpen Their Bows And String Their Swords"

Hello Reader, This is my action project for the first unit of "A Nation's Argument class", a humanities course in which we study how arguments are composed and their use throughout history, particularly in the establishment of nations. This unit's central question was "How is a country reasoned into existence?" In order to understand how an argument is constructed using premises and conclusions, we looked to the Declaration of Independence. On top of that, we discovered what deductive reasoning is and how it uses principles to support claims. We had the opportunity to speak with the principal of a Montessori school during our external research and learn more about the values that guide the teaching of children at his and other Montessori schools. For this AP I created my own declaration of independence to study physiology and why it is my right as a student do so. Enjoy!

FK Action Project for Urban Planning "How About ..... A Roundabout?"

 Hello reader, This is my action project for the "Urban Planning" unit 3 class at GCE Lab School. During this unit, I learned a lot about city infrastructure, the history of it, the math of it, and how it applies to almost everything. My classmates and I got to dive further into the topic of city infrastructure. My classmates and I got to talk with a real life city planner from houston. For this project, I chose an area of a city to redesign and build a model of said redesign. This is how it came out. Enjoy!  For my redesign I wanted to redesign an intersection that I use quite often. Its the 4 way residential/school zone intersection at Lemington and Quincy in Chicago, IL. To quote a fellow user of it they said "everyday being dropped off there is a battle" and I agree.
